“What is Universal Medicine?” is a question that opens the floor to an advanced enquiry. The words have a distinctive potency. Universal. Medicine. What is it that constitutes Medicine that is Universal? What does that look like? Is it allopathic or is it philosophical?  And yet it is also a question that asks for a finite and more worldly defined answer that also has an equally important place.

The worldly answer:

Universal Medicine is the name of a business founded by Serge Benhayon that would become both a healing unit of service and a global movement. It was inaugurated in late 1999 in response to the breadth of conditions Serge Benhayon was seeing in clients that had visited on him at his home-based Esoteric healing clinic earlier that year.

The application of Esoteric healing techniques and modalities, modalities that now found the healing services offered through Universal Medicine, gave Serge an insight into the extent of the conditions people were experiencing ‘with few if any realising how deeply wrong the way they live is in relation to our true state of being.’ (SIB)

That true state of being, with its natural vivaciousness, vitality and deep settlement was a state that was not being reflected in the general population. Serge expands:

We cannot assume or claim to live in a certain way or that it is the way to live in or by that chosen way when our bodies are clearly showing that it was not truly healthy or ‘wholesome’ let alone harmonious for it to be lived that way’. ~ SB

From that call, or realisation, came the inaugural first workshop that then led to the subsequent series of books, courses and lectures that were expressed in likewise response to humanity.

The Esoteric healing modalities as earthed by Serge Benhayon were unique in the field in that they never sort to be a replacement of Western medical care. With great reverence for doctors and their work, Serge offered a wholistic energetic healing pathway that complemented Western Medicine and embraced the essential place of medical care in the healing process while simultaneously asking the deeper questions about the energetic contributing factors that were at the root of the ill lifestyle ‘choices’ that were in-turn greatly impacting people’s health.

The Universal Answer:

In its multidimensional definition the name Universal Medicine is just that. Universal. Medicine. The Medicine is in living uncensored from the beauty and truth of our beingness and the Universal aspect is the completeness of the One Song, the Universal substantive we are all returning to.

What is Universal is naturally a medicine because it requires no healing, it is the wholesomeness of the wholeness we are from. Aligning to this form of energy and living it is a potent form of Medicine but only because we have deviated from it in the first place.

In Serge Benhayon’s own words:

“The Ageless Wisdom, which in this Era is also known as Universal Medicine, likewise teaches us that the entire energetic quality of the Universe is in fact the same perfect mix of love, wisdom and intelligence. Additionally, and in further clarification, when we are not using the right and true force (movement of energy to cause movement carrying energy) we ought to be using and or ‘wielding’, for that is what we do with each consideration, expression, behaviour and or movement, we are equally using a force that is in opposition to the right and true flow that is the sphere of life we are contained in.

Let’s re-visit the concluding point:

If you do not use the light or force of energy that is accordingly in full correspondence with the grand interdependence that is and makes up what we call the Universe, which is in turn and in fact the space that surrounds us, you will instead use a force that is incongruent and by that it is and will be independent and hence separative of the interdependence. And thus, the only other force that we can choose from, is opposing to the all, all the space, we are surrounded by.

And further this:

The Ageless Wisdom is indeed a corpus of work. Moreover, it is an endless supply of lived and yet to be lived knowledge. The Ageless Wisdom, which is also known as Universal Medicine, is not third dimensionally ‘physical’, though it is when it is expressed, lived and or written down or typed on our 3rd dimensional realm. However accessible the Ageless Wisdom is to the one who returns or arises back into the light of being a realised Son of God once again, and all of it is accessible, it must be said for the purpose of clarity that, apart from its physical or externalised forms, the Ageless Wisdom remains and will remain by a proportion greater than most can for now comprehend, an endless supply of multidimensional love, wisdom and intelligence. It is this form of love, wisdom and intelligence, that makes it the universal form of medicine that is medicine to the entire Universe and all of its occupants.

At this stage the reader is reminded that ‘love’, in its true Esoteric and or Occult meaning, refers to the universal beholding quality of Divine love, and from it or rather because of it, it is a form of love that supersedes judgment and or emotions. It is thus a love that is supremely understanding and providing of space. And, as it is still held by many, it is also supremely affording of time, and time being a form of space that does not exist anywhere else in our multi-layered Universe.

From its inception Universal Medicine’s teachings have been reverent and supportive of the place of conventional Western medicine in the healing process. Universal Medicine’s modalities provide the energetic and the lifestyle support that complement the great work of doctors in their various fields who are highly trained in the physical aspect of administering healing. For this reason, Serge Benhayon coined the term ‘complementary to medicine’ to describe Universal Medicine’s modalities rather than use the term ‘alternative medicine’ which could be misconstrued to suggest that the modalities should be used to replace, or as an alternative to, essential medical care.

This dual approach to care, both physical and metaphysical, conventional and universal medicine in complement to each other, has been life changing for many people. Students of the teachings of Universal Medicine, in which self-care and self-responsibility is a core theme, find that they naturally avoid many of the ill-health problems that result from lifestyle related factors like overeating, poor diet, smoking, vaping and alcohol use.
